Since the launch of App Store, App Store for Indian users have shown pricing in US dollars. And whenever they have purchased anything from it, the amount has been deducted after the direct conversion of Indian Rupees depending upon the current conversion rate. Recently, we have noted that Indian App Store has now started to show pricing in INR i.e after the direct conversion.
It seems that Apple is slowly rolling out the feature in Indian App Store. However, such feature already exists in Google Play Store where every price for apps are shown in INRs. Although the prices are available in INR, but there are several inconsistencies which are visible for users. Some apps which have been priced for $1.99 doesn’t show the conversion rate in INR. Instead, one could see only 1.99 written beside them.
If you purchase apps from Indian App Store, you can now checkout the prices in INR. Just make sure that your country is selected as ‘India’ for the changes to take effect.
